Windows 8 introduced a completely new Start Menu. Without some basic training, working with the new menu can be really frustrating. However, once you understand how to customize it to your needs, you will probably like it much better than the old Windows 7 Start Menu. The Windows Start Menu has been improved even further in Windows 10.
